This week has been stressful. One drama followed another and this Sunday I was desiring comfort food. I am all for fresh, healthy salads but sometimes stodgy carbs are necessary. My gorgeous friend, Alice, took me out for cake and to top it all off I made this delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding!
The recipe came from here, another of my pinterest findings! It took a little longer than it said it would but it is highly likely that this has little to do with the recipe and a lot more to do with the fact I was avoiding work…
Also apologies for posting a day late – after eating this I fell into a deep, and very content, food coma. It is super rich and sweet and sticky and perfect on a cold winter’s Sunday.
Mmm, just look at that thick toffee sauce…
I’d cooked it earlier in the afternoon so just popped it back into the oven ten minutes before serving so the melted ice cream oozed into the moist cake. Yum yum yum.
