Run or Dye

Last weekend my sister and I made our way to Penshurst Place in Kent. It was raining. Fab.

But we braved the weather, pinned race numbers onto our t-shirts and took part in the 5k colour run. It was very relaxed and at first it was frustrating for us, as quite keen runners, to try and get past the walkers. But we got into our stride and had a fab time. After each kilometre race volunteers smothered us in paint powder; pink, blue, green and purple, we ran along the course like happy rainbow people.

As someone who loves running I really recommend events like this, especially if you’re new to the sport or don’t want to run competitively. 5k flies by as you’re preoccupied with flying paint and cheering crowds. Get your trainers on and go!

Just be prepared to have purple hair for a few days…
